Diamond Medical Laboratory is designed to meet the specific needs of the post acute care community. Our patients include individuals that reside in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities that have specific needs. We also cater to patients that choose to age in place and are homebound in the community.

Our lab is designed to provide same day results to those clients in order for them to provide prompt care to their patients and residents.

We are a COLA certified Laboratory. We utilize State of the Art analyzers and conduct rigorous daily quality control protocols to ensure accurate results every time.

Our leadership and staff work together as a team to deliver prompt and accurate results to over 1000 patients daily on average.

Andrew Diamond
Chief Executive Officer

Diamond Labs has been founded by and will be led by Andrew Diamond. Andrew received an undergraduate degree in Criminology from University of Maryland College Park. After graduation Andrew managed a branch of a Nationwide Mortgage Company for 5 years. He eventually sold the business to his partners and created Marvel Title and Escrow. In 2014 he purchased ownership in Mobile Medical Imaging, a portable imaging company and has increased the revenue by over 400% in 2 years. Andrew was approached by a representative from a skilled nursing facility company about opening a medical laboratory to service their residents in October 2016. That is when the decision was made to open Diamond Medical Laboratories.

Casey Young
Chief Operating Officer

Casey Young comes to our team with extensive and broad-based experience in the Healthcare Industry. Over the last 15 years his focus has been post acute care. He maintains expertise in clinical service, operational management, sales, marketing, business development, consulting, and contract negotiations. Casey has a strong track record of providing physician/ employee/ operational oversight to deliver consistent services to clients/ patients. He has proven success in negotiating contracts and preferred provider agreements designed to meet the medical needs for the patient population and to ensure a smooth continuity of care between Hospital, SNF, LTC, DME, Medical Lab and Home Health/ Hospice settings. He is recognized as a top performer across seven service lines of business in the Baltimore/ Washington, DC Metropolitan and Mid-Atlantic market area. He has demonstrated an ability to coach and develop clinical teams, operations teams, and marketing teams, that successfully build and sustain strong relationships with community partners.

Lorrie Mills
Lab Manager

Lorrie Mills joined Diamond Medical Laboratories in January 2021 with over 30 years of experience in core laboratory moderate and high complexity testing, project management, international healthcare, national and international laboratory accreditation, business continuity, and compliance programs.

Mills’ previous employment included serving as Assocaite Director of Global Services at Johns Hopkins Medicine International (JHI) in Baltimore, Maryland where he assisted international affiliates in the Middle East, Latin America, & Canada obtain Joint Commission International (JCI) laboratory accreditation.

A native of Pocomoke City, Maryland, Mills attended Howard University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology & Chemistry from Salisbury State College (now Salisbury University) and a Master of Science degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Maryland at Baltimore Graduate School where he graduated with cum laude honors.

In his spare time, he travels with close friends, hosts holiday dinners, tutors local high school and college students in chemistry, and attends Ravens football games at M&T Bank Stadium and basketball games at Duke University.

Paige Atkinson
Molecular Lab Manager

Paige Atkinson, a native of Baltimore, is a dedicated professional committed to advancing patient care through molecular testing. Her journey in the field began in high school when she displayed an early passion for science, leading her to enroll in advanced science programs. This commitment to academic excellence motivated her to graduate from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Biological Science.

After obtaining her degree, Paige initially ventured into the realm of special education, where she made a meaningful impact as an educator. However, her true calling beckoned, and she transitioned to a pivotal role as a Microbiology/Molecular Technician at Mercy Medical Center. In this position, Paige’s dedication and expertise contributed to her steady ascent within the healthcare sector.

Driven by a desire for professional growth, Paige achieved remarkable progress, eventually securing a position as a Molecular Manager at a reference laboratory. In this leadership role, she played a pivotal part in implementing, organizing, and validating procedures critical to the certification and accreditation of the laboratory.

Beyond her professional endeavors, she indulges her passion for travel, exploring new destinations with friends and family. Additionally, Paige finds joy in the companionship of her pets, she also channels her creativity into graphic design, showcasing a diverse range of talents.
