Diamond Medical Laboratory was a well thought out vision from varying personalities within the industry. Chance meetings, casual conversations, fishing trips and desire to provide better care gave rise to what we are today. Our vision stemmed from seeing laboratories fall short of serving their clients. Most of our staff have previously worked for a facility that failed to keep the best interest of their clients first. We feel that our clients’ needs are to be our needs too; this is why we strive to go above and beyond their expectations. From top to bottom, our laboratory was built on quality and dependability. This laboratory means a lot to us; creating this and being able to provide you and your patients the best results is a dream come true. Chief Laboratory Officer
Our Chief Laboratory Officer is an Army veteran with over 27 years experience with clinical and research laboratories. He has worked every position you could possibly think of in the field; from Phlebotomist to Laboratory Supervisor and even as a Clinical Research Coordinator. He has worked in small laboratories, field hospitals and even large medical center laboratories. He was previously the Laboratory Service Manager of a clinical laboratory for the past 4 years.
Chief Executive Officer
Diamond Labs has been founded by and will be led by Andrew Diamond. Andrew received an undergraduate degree in Criminology from University of Maryland College Park. After graduation Andrew managed a branch of a Nationwide Mortgage Company for 5 years. He eventually sold the business to his partners and created Marvel Title and Escrow. In 2014 he purchased ownership in Mobile Medical Imaging, a portable imaging company and has increased the revenue by over 400% in 2 years. Andrew was approached by a representative from a skilled nursing facility company about opening a medical laboratory to service their residents in October 2016. That is when the decision was made to open Diamond Medical Laboratories.
Chief Operating Officer
Casey Young comes to our team with extensive and broad-based experience in the Healthcare Industry. Over the last 15 years his focus has been post acute care. He maintains expertise in clinical service, operational management, sales, marketing, business development, consulting, and contract negotiations. Casey has a strong track record of providing physician/ employee/ operational oversight to deliver consistent services to clients/ patients. He has proven success in negotiating contracts and preferred provider agreements designed to meet the medical needs for the patient population and to ensure a smooth continuity of care between Hospital, SNF, LTC, DME, Medical Lab and Home Health/ Hospice settings. He is recognized as a top performer across seven service lines of business in the Baltimore/ Washington, DC Metropolitan and Mid-Atlantic market area. He has demonstrated an ability to coach and develop clinical teams, operations teams, and marketing teams, that successfully build and sustain strong relationships with community partners.
